December 2022 Newsletter

Dear friends,

As I reflect on 2022, I am humbled by all of the support you have given to Apraxia Kids this year. Together, we are a community focused on helping our Apraxia Stars find their voices. Your dedication to our mission this past year has allowed Apraxia Kids to support families and professionals; working collectively to focus on the whole child.

Supporting families remains a top priority for Apraxia Kids. This past May, thanks to the generosity of the community, we launched our online Parent Portal, filled with information, educational materials, and resources for families to utilize at varying stages of their apraxia journey.

Research is vital for Apraxia Kids to achieve its mission. Apraxia Kids is proud to sponsor research grants and has funded four projects in 2022 on topics related to CAS. In addition to funding research, Apraxia Kids convened our third-ever Research Symposium this past July. 55 researchers and clinicians from around the globe joined us for two and a half days to discuss the latest research on CAS, along with developing priorities for future research. More information can be found on our newly updated research page.

As the leading nonprofit focused on CAS, our devotion to spreading awareness, building a strong support community, sharing evidence-based resources, and empowering families to better advocate for their children remains strong. Together, we are partners in achieving the mission of Apraxia Kids. We look forward to this next year and we are already making plans for what we can accomplish together.

On behalf of each family impacted by childhood apraxia of speech, I thank you for your continued commitment. Together, we are mission-driven, helping every child find their voice. You can invest in the voices of tomorrow with a donation to Apraxia Kids today.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year.
