Overall Treatment Approach:

Being a mom to an apraxia star myself, I am well versed in identifying power words that are motivating for both child and parent to practice within therapy. Therapy is play based and multi-sensory. Therapy focuses on a high number of targets of the power words we have collaborated on and use a variety of strategies to help your child become successful and confident in their speech.

Parent Involvement:

I request for parents to observe sessions and be able to identify the cues required to help their child be successful at productions of their targets. This is helpful as they practice these words during the week.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I use sign language and high tech AAC when communication is not reliable or the child's frustration levels have increased.
