Hello! My approach is first and foremost focused on building a connection with both your child and family, so that speech therapy feels safe, fun, and engaging. Once we establish what your child's specific speech needs are and activities your child enjoys, I will carefully select target words that allow your child to meaningfully participate in parts of their day that are the most important to them. I actively involve principles of motor learning by giving multi-modal direct and specific feedback on your child's productions, and moving dynamically up/down the cueing hierarchy. I use a warm and highly engaging approach to always follow your child's lead and incorporate their interests whenever possible.
