November 2020 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

November not only marks a time for giving but a time for giving thanks. On behalf of our entire team at Apraxia Kids, please know how thankful we are for each and every one of you and for your commitment throughout this past year to help us move our mission forward.

We give thanks for our dedicated Board of Directors, our esteemed Professional Advisory Council, our amazing volunteers, and the entire apraxia community that we have the privilege of serving. Each day, we are surrounded by the support of this expansive network of individuals working together to make a difference in the lives of children with apraxia of speech.

We are also thankful for the numerous researchers who are working daily to find answers to the questions parents and clinicians have about how to best meet the needs of children with apraxia of speech. We are proud to share the results of 13 research studies that Apraxia Kids has helped fund through your donations.

In this season of giving, we are happy to share the applications for our Speech Tablets for Apraxia program and our National Conference Scholarships for families and students. These programs would not be possible without the continued commitment and generosity of our community.

As we wind down this year and plan for 2021, we are reminded of one of the core values of Apraxia Kids – Hope. Hope for our children today, tomorrow, and in the future. With the hope of a new year quickly approaching, Apraxia Kids is working hard to plan our 2021 National Conference, to prepare for local Walk for Apraxia events, to expand our online resources for both parents and professionals, and so much more.

Whether you’ve been with Apraxia Kids for years or just recently joined our community, thank you. Thank you for being a part of our family. Thank you for your dedication to raising awareness. Thank you for contributing critical donations to fund our programs and services and for investing in our future. Thank you for standing alongside us as we work to realize our shared vision, a world where every child with apraxia of speech reaches their highest communication potential.

With endless gratitude,

Angela Grimm
Executive Director
