To register online, go to http://walk.apraxia-kids.org and search the map to find the Walk for Apraxia event closest to you! Once you are on the page for your local Walk, click the Join button.
On Site registration is also available on Walk Day for in-person Walks, although we strongly encourage everyone to register online before the event. The earlier you register, the more time you have to build your team, fundraise, and gain momentum leading up to Walk Day!
We encourage individuals to register themselves. You can share your team page link to help others easily register with your team.
If you do need to register others, you can do so by logging out, going to your team page, and then clicking “Join Team.” You will then be walked through the steps of registering each individual.
This is a change from past events – we no longer charge a mandatory registration fee. Registration is FREE! We do encourage you to set a personal fundraising goal, to utilize the tools provided, to share your story, and to build your network of supporters to help you reach that goal.
The money you raise helps support the mission of Apraxia Kids which is the leading nonprofit support children and families affected by childhood apraxia of speech. All participants who raise a minimum of $50 will receive our one-of-a kind commemorative Walk T-shirt!
Children under 18 who will just be participating on Walk Day should all be registered online so that they complete the necessary waiver for participation. Children with apraxia should all be registered as Apraxia Stars so we have all their information to make sure they are properly recognized on Walk Day!
Teams are made up of family, friends, students, and/or coworkers all fundraising and walking together under one team name, usually in celebration of their Apraxia Star. A team can be as small as two people or large as you want! Even if it is just you and your Apraxia Star walking, registering as a team still helps us track your fundraising efforts and make sure all of the Stars are properly recognized on Walk Day.

Once you’ve submitted payment, you have successfully completed an online registration for yourself and created a team! From there, log into your participant center to start fundraising and recruiting others to join your team.
There is no set number of how many people should be on a team. A team can be made up of two people or two hundred people! We leave the size of your team up to you, but we do encourage you to invite as many people as possible (teachers, coaches, therapists, relatives, coworkers, etc.) to join your team, raise $100, and participate in celebrating your Apraxia Star on Walk Day!

Step 1: Log in your participant center.
Step 2: Navigate to your profile settings.
