Describe treatment approach used:
The following are typical therapeutic goals for children on our caseload diagnosed with CAS:
- high frequency of therapy appointments (3-4, 30 minute one-on-one sessions every week)
- therapeutic practice that targets a hierarchy of word structure, from simple to complex, with a high frequency of productions per session in order to improve the patient's ability to motor plan for speech
- regular home practice
- multisensory cues used to facilitate productions
- introduction of AAC methods to reduce frustration and increase communicative independence

Describe parent/caregiver involvement:
Parents are involved in the therapy process in the following ways:
- provide patient history, current level of functioning, and primary concerns via intake interview completed during the initial exam
- collaborated with when developing goals and plan of care
- observation windows provide means of parent training for carry-over and home programming strategies
- if not observing or attending the sessions, parents are briefed on therapy sessions via face to face interactions after therapy or via written communication
- progress notes are completed and reviewed with parents, on average, every six months
- parent meetings are conducted as needed to discuss applicable topics
