Overall Treatment Approach:

My focus of treatment for this population includes principles of motor learning theory: amount of practice, distribution of practice, frequency/schedule of practice, and feedback conditions. My treatment focus also emphasizes movement shapes, motor speech patterns, and integral stimulation (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing).

Parent Involvement:

Parents are involved by observing and/or actively participating at times. Parents are also crucial for implementing home practice and generalization as well as encouraging practice/carryover of functional/core words and phrases.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I have used simple sign language, PODD books, and communication boards to assist with verbal language. I have also used Touch Chat, Sounding Board, and Proloquo2Go on the iPad.
