Overall Treatment Approach:

I use a play-based, but structured, treatment approach to keep my friends engaged. Sessions include maximum repetition paired with a variety of cues to help the brain and mouth learn to work together. As therapy progresses, I consistently collaborate with parents to support practice in the home, and we celebrate every small win!

Parent Involvement:

I teach parents how to support their child’s speech at home in simple ways to support the busy, working family. I also keep communication consistent to discuss progress, challenges and new goals along the way.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I have incorporated the use of AAC to provide multi-sensory cues. AAC provides the child with a combination of visual and auditory cues, and can also be fun and encouraging for the child to communicate.
