I have had the privilege and joy for the past 15 years working with children who have childhood apraxia of speech. I have spent my career in public schools, private schools, and private practice. I am trained in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) and collaborate with families and schools to incorporate strategies and specific practice plans, enabling generalization to occur. I have extensive experience in total communication to support children's communication, including the use of augmentative and alternative communication. I firmly believe that speech therapy does not have to be “work” but instead an engaging, fun, and active process that the whole family can be a part of. Providing unique, engaging, and effective therapy activities, approaches, and plans tailored to each child is one of my favorite parts of being an SLP.
