When a child comes to The Next Page Speech Therapy for a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), they are met with a clinician who prioritizes connection over compliance. I believe that therapy should be supportive and individualized. My sessions focus on helping your child learn how to improve their motor planning for speech production, given dynamic tactile and temporal cueing while also focusing on prosody (stress and rhythm of speech). Therapy is delivered in a way that is structured but fun, always moving at your child’s pace. Therapy is recommended to occur frequently at first, decreasing as your child is able to generalize their improved skills.
