At The Cove, every child receives a level of care that is highly individualized, unhurried, and built around their unique communication needs. Our approach to Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is grounded in the most current evidence-based motor learning science — delivered with expertise, precision, and genuine care.
I identify each child's specific speech movement targets and design a structured practice plan that supports motor planning, consistency, and carryover into real life. Sessions are engaging and tailored to your child's world — their interests, their pace, their strengths — so that the high repetition required for motor learning feels natural and motivating rather than clinical.
I hold advanced training in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), Rapid Syllable Transitions (ReST), and PROMPT. I draw on multisensory cueing and step-by-step support to ensure that new skills are generalized into everyday communication.
At The Cove, families are active partners in their child's progress. I recognize that your time is valuable, your role clear, manageable, and meaningful rather than overwhelming.
You will receive consistent, detailed updates on your child's targets and progress. When home practice is appropriate, we provide strategies that are easy to implement and directly tied to what we're working on in sessions. I am always available to answer questions, adjust the plan, and keep you fully informed.
Every child deserves a reliable voice, at every stage of development. When speech is not yet functional, I introduce Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) — ensuring your child can communicate meaningfully while their speech motor skills are building.
When device assessment or programming is needed, we coordinate directly with AAC specialists at Bright Steps Pediatric Speech & Feeding Therapy, our clinic-based practice, as part of a seamless, fully managed process.
