Therapy looks different depending on the age of the child, but I focus on working as a team with families to individualize supports and provide evidence based practice to increase communication skills. Parents are highly encouraged to be hands on and learn the cues and prompts that work best for their child. In addition to supporting speech intelligibility, therapy can also focus on augmentative and alternative communication strategies (high tech, low tech, and no tech), receptive and expressive language skills, and literacy skills.
