3-5 short, intensive sessions are recommended per week when treating Childhood Apraxia of Speech, with the goal of tapering down to fewer weekly sessions as your child progresses. I will work alongside you and your family to find a schedule that is most convenient for you. Therapy targets are selected after completing a dynamic motor speech assessment that will help determine sounds/words in your child's current repertoire and build off of their foundation to expand into new words. Therapy sessions are no longer than 30-minutes a piece with a goal of achieving 60-100 (minimum) repetitions of target words per session. Your child will be appropriately challenged, while also being celebrated and encouraged for their resiliency and hard work.
