Overall Treatment Approach:

Children learn best when they are having fun. Therefore, I will always work to find toys, games, and activities that are fun and engaging for your child as we learn new speech sounds and words. I meet each child where they are at with individualized goals and therapy plans.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are always welcome to watch their child's therapy sessions. Additionally, I update parents at the end of every session and send home a typed progress note along with homework words to continue practicing throughout the week at home.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I often recommend and help implement AAC with my clients who have CAS (especially with younger clients and/or clients who have moderate to severe CAS). I have experience implementing no tech AAC (such as a communication board) and high tech AAC (including apps such as LAMP Words for Life and Proloquo2go) In my work with clients who have CAS, I work on implementing AAC and speech sound goals at the same time.
