January 2020 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

From all of us at Apraxia Kids, we hope you had a relaxing and peaceful holiday surrounded by your loved ones. A new year calls for new beginnings, and for us, it is a time of excitement for what lies ahead!

2020 marks the 20th year of Apraxia Kids. Over the years, tens of thousands of individuals have benefited from our work, but we could not have achieved this without you. Together, we are working to build a more knowledgeable and understanding world for children with apraxia of speech. We hope you will join us for the next 20 years as we continue to make our vision a reality.

Let’s start with what you can look forward to this year! This year we are continuing to prioritize education on childhood apraxia of speech, knowing that the more professionals who are educated on CAS, the better outcomes our children will have. We are already lining up new webinars for 2020!

We are so excited to announce that registration is now open for our National Conference in Plano, Texas! Our conference is a unique experience for both parents and professionals. Join us and walk away feeling empowered, informed, and supported.

2020 also sees the return of our Apraxia Boot Camp as we welcome the 6th class of boot camp graduates in the US and the first-ever Canadian boot camp! These individuals go on to establish support systems in their communities, provide education to other professionals in their area, and even volunteer their time to Apraxia Kids to push forward our collective mission. The deadline to apply to join this prestigious group is January 31.

Our staff has been hard at work to create new supports and provide new and exciting initiatives this year, and we can’t wait to share them with you in our 20th anniversary. As always, thank you for being a valued member of our community.

Warmest Regards,
