First Ever Apraxia Giving Day!

Join us online on May 14th for our first-ever Apraxia Giving Day! Before we declared all of May to be Apraxia Awareness Month, we celebrated Awareness Day on the 14th every year. So this year, we are asking you to help us continue funding our work by donating $14 (or more!) on May 14th and asking your friends and family to do the same!

Your donation helps families like Kelly’s. When she first heard the word “apraxia,” Kelly felt lonely and defeated, unsure of what was going on and what the future would hold for her son. After finding the support of Apraxia Kids and our amazing community, she was able to gather the information she needed to share with her son’s speech therapists so they could treat him effectively. While the journey continues, Kelly has now experienced the joy of hearing her son say “mom” and watching him speak his line clearly in the school play!

There are a variety of ways you can share and donate on May 14th:

All funds donated on the 14th will count toward our giving day total, so you can use the day as a great way to share your participation in your local Walk for Apraxia event.

Your financial support is critical for the continuation of our mission to help every child find their voice. Apraxia Kids continues to grow every year as more children are diagnosed and more families need help to find the best care available. We are dedicated to empowering more parents to understand the services their child needs while also training more speech therapists to properly recognize and treat childhood apraxia of speech.

Mark your calendars for May 14th!
