Donor-advised Fund

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving program that manages contributions on behalf of donors. DAFs are hosted by a variety of third parties such as community foundations or commercial financial services companies like Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, and more. Donors transfer cash or assets into the funds and can then choose where that money is granted. Speak with a financial advisor to learn what DAF sponsor is right for you.

Benefits of giving with DAFs:

  • Immediate tax deduction upon contributing to your DAF
  • Asset growth
  • The ability to make different grant contributions over time
  • Simple, centralized record-keeping
