Apraxia Kids: What are the top 3 things you learned from this training experience?
Jocelyn: 1. An increased understanding of assessment tools to use during the diagnostic process.  2. Improvement in my ability to treat CAS.  3. Knowledge of use of AAC with children with CAS.

Apraxia Kids: How did the boot camp experience change or expand your network of colleagues/friends?
Jocelyn: I still keep in touch with the other SLPs from my cohort. We use each other as resources, but also just to chat and meet up with for social hour if I’m in their neck of the woods.

Apraxia Kids: How have you implemented the knowledge you gained at boot camp?
Jocelyn: I have used new assessment tools in my diagnosis process and I use the treatment protocols during therapy. Overall, boot camp has distinctly shaped the way I do apraxia therapy.

Apraxia Kids: What would you say to someone considering applying to boot camp next round?
Jocelyn: Plan on being completely immersed in CAS and dedicating at least 6 months to the process. It is overwhelming at times, but for me, it was worth it!
