01 May Apraxia Awareness Month 2025 – Connect with Professionals
This week we will be focusing on connecting with professionals. Apraxia Kids continues to educate both parents and professionals on the most up to date information regarding all things #CAS. Below are some ways you can participate this week!
SLP Directory: Is your child’s SLP listed in our directory? If not, ask them to join! Our directory is free for SLPs to join and gives them the opportunity to be found by over one million website users annually. This resource is also free for families to find SLPs that demonstrate knowledge and understanding on treating and accurately diagnosing childhood apraxia of speech.
Webinar Platform: Did you know Apraxia Kids has a webinar platform that helps to educate both parents and professionals? Consider sharing this information with your SLP or family. There is always more to learn about CAS and we are always updating our webinars and recently added 9 new webinars to our platform! This is also a great way for professionals to earn CEUs including the often tricky to earn DEI credits. We even offer FREE CEUs in our Virtual Education Series.
National Conference: The Apraxia Kids National Conference is the largest conference that connects professionals and caregivers with the most up-to-date education on CAS. This is an excellent way to meet with members of the apraxia community. This year our National Conference will be fully virtually giving community members across the globe a chance to connect, learn, and share their knowledge with each other. You do not want to miss this opportunity to ask questions directly to the experts and meet new friends!
Walk for Apraxia: Are you a caregiver? Ask your child’s SLP to join your Walk for Apraxia Team! Are you a professional? Consider starting a team for your speech practice! The Walk for Apraxia is the best way to connect with local community members, create lifelong friendships and celebrate all of the hard work our Apraxia Stars accomplish over the year! Walk for Apraxia events start in the fall and we truly hope to see you there!
