I find the most important part of CAS therapy, especially with young children, is to establish a trusting relationship and connection first and foremost. As this connection builds, I can incorporate both child-directed and evidence-based intervention. I primarily use methods from Dr. Strand's Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC); however, I've learned that most children benefit from a variety of therapeutic strategies and adaptations individualized to their specific needs. One child's therapy is never identical to another child's therapy!
