Overall Treatment Approach:

I am trained in DTTC (Advanced Level) as well as PROMPT. I use the DTTC framework within playful activities customized to your child’s interests. We focus on a small set of functional words or phrases and get as many repetitions as possible! We move up and down the DTTC hierarchy of prompting throughout the session, based on whichever levels of support your child needs at the moment.

Parent Involvement:

Parent involvement is key! I encourage parents to practice our target words/phrases outside of sessions as well as to facilitate opportunities for their kids to practice these words/phrases in varying contexts.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I provide aided language input via PODD books and speech-generating devices (SGDs). This helps kids learn how to use their AAC systems to communicate with others in situations where their speech isn’t being understood yet.
