Children with apraxia of speech often come to us feeling frustrated. We will work on communication and speech by introducing alternative modes of communication (communication boards, speech generating devices) as well as working on speech production using specific words that are chosen for each child. We will make the sessions engaging and fun so the child is motivated to participate. The parents will be introduced to techniques to use at home and ways that they can help their child's speech.
