Hello! I am a play-based and child-led speech therapist with specialized training in CAS. I am PROMPT and DTTC trained and provide individualized treatment for children of all ages with CAS, as I tailor therapy sessions to each child's unique and personal strengths and needs. I provide initial consultations, evaluations, and ongoing therapy while collaborating with parents and caregivers every step along the way. I prioritize making meaningful connections with my clients; speech therapy with me is play-based, family-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices, and I would love to partner with you in helping your child shine!
Parents and caregivers are an essential part of my therapy process! I work closely with families to share strategies, model activities, and provide resources that they can use at home to support their child’s progress and help with generalization. We are all part of a team, and parent input, observations, and support are key to helping their child make meaningful gains both within and beyond the therapy room walls.
For some children with CAS, I introduce Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools to provide them with another way to express themselves while we continue working on their motor speech. This might include low-tech supports, like picture cards or communication boards, or high-tech options, like speech-generating devices or apps. I implement AAC to help reduce frustration, build confidence, and provide a way for the child to share their thoughts and needs in a functional and effective way while they grow their motor speech skills. As speech skills grow, AAC becomes a bridge that supports communication every step of the way!
