My treatment approach is based on Dynamic Temporal & Tactile Cuing (DTTC), which is an evidence-based treatment approach for treating CAS. I work with families to select motivating target words, using specific word shapes and sound targets. Sessions are organized to ensure carryover and generalization of skills. Every session is also tailored to each child to increase their involvement and engagement in the process.
Parent involvement is a key part of services and families are involved in selecting treatment goals, participating in therapy and supporting their child's carryover of skills.
AAC strategies are incorporated into sessions to reduce frustration and empower children with meaningful ways to express themselves.
