Overall Treatment Approach:
My overall treatment approach is based on principles of motor learning. I combine a variety of approaches including the following: PROMPT, Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol, and Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing with multi-sensory cueing. I set goals and choose targets with the child and family to ensure goals are functional and meaningful. And most importantly, I aim to make therapy as engaging and fun as possible along every step of the way

Caregiver involvement is very important to me as we know it is crucial for obtaining best outcomes in intervention. Families play a large role in setting goals, implementing home practice to help the generalization/carryover of new skills, and they are encouraged to be an active participant in therapy as much as possible!
In addition to working with multiple families impacted by Apraxia, I regularly share resources by CASANA and other members of the Apraxia community on my social media outlets. I look forward to increasing my involvement in the Apraxia community in the near future!
