Overall Treatment Approach:
It is most important to involve the family in treatment and to make it fun for the kids! As much as possible, I attempt to schedule children for twice-weekly appointments and highly encourage families to attend. Home programming is sent following each appointment to encourage carryover of skills and motor learning. Activities that are exciting and keep the child attending while encouraging numerous target attempts are often utilized in treatment. Using word lists/photos brought from home that include the child's favorite things are also often part of our sessions.

Parent Involvement:
Parents play one of the most important roles in the therapy process. They are encouraged to attend sessions and following each treatment, specific home programming provided to encourage a child's carry over of skills.

Community Involvement:
Our company has attended the Apraxia Kids’ walks over the years.
