Overall Treatment Approach:
I use a multisensory approach. Every child is different. I have had a great deal of success using both PROMPT cues along with speech sound hand cues. I start at the level the child can produce-some at the vowel level, some CV, some reduplicative cvcv and work our way through the hierarchy (I use Nancy Kaufman's hierarchy. I use multiple trials but always make it fun and engaging.

Percent of CAS cases: 80

Parent Involvement:
Most parents sit in on our sessions. I, first demonstrate with the child, and then have the parent do the same. We use multiple trials and very motivating activities. I always give the parents an activity to continue the same skills in our session, at their home. We want to make therapy as functional as possible.

Community Involvement:
Presently, my caseload consists of mostly 2-3 year olds with Apraxia. I have always been interested in this field of study and lately i am seeing more and more children getting diagnosed at a younger age. I love to get them early so we can both educate parents/caregivers and help them before they are extremely frustrated and completely shut down.
