Overall Treatment Approach:
Having completed the Kaufman training, PROMPT level 1 and 2 training and the Talk Tools OPT training I keep all of this knowledge in my mind to pull from when treating a child. I feel there is not one specific approach that works perfectly for all children so it is important to individualize treatment plans for what best fits the needs of each child.

Percent of CAS cases: 40

Parent Involvement:
Generalization and carryover are important so parents are always welcome to join therapy sessions to see what is being targeted. If the parent is not available to join the session or they determine it is best if they wait outside of the therapy room I will discuss carryover activities for home until the next treatment session and explain what was targeted.

Community Involvement:
I have participated in the Walk for Apraxia in Northern Virginia, I have treated several children with Apraxia of Speech and I am currently the Clinical Director of Exceptional Children's Center helping to coach, mentor and support our SLP's who treat children at our center.
