Angela Grimm joins the organization on October 23, 2017.

Pittsburgh, PA | October 10, 2017 – The Board of Directors of the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) is honored to welcome and introduce Angela Grimm as our new permanent Executive Director. Ms. Grimm is a gifted and competent non-profit executive with over 25 years’ experience in leading fundraising and awareness efforts for such esteemed organizations as the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter and The Salvation Army. She will work with the dedicated staff and Board of Directors to fully position CASANA to preserve and grow our comprehensive support systems to ensure that the current and future generations of children with apraxia of speech are afforded the best opportunity to develop a voice of their own. Interim Director Michele R. Atkins will stay on to consult for a brief period of time in order to ensure a smooth transition.

Angela Grimm was a member of the senior leadership team at the Alzheimer’s Association for 12 years, serving on various committees and strategic plan work groups at the local and national level. Prior to her experience there, Angela led development roles within the Salvation Army of Western Pennsylvania, including serving as the Director of Project Bundle-Up, a joint fundraising venture with WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh. Through her 25 year career in the non-profit sector she has continually built valuable relationships between organizations and key constituents to further the mission.  Additionally, Angela has a personal connection to CAS and is committed to maintaining CASANA’S high quality programming.  Angela’s professional experience at the local and national level and her personal connection to CASANA’s cause make Ms. Grimm an incredible asset to CASANA.
