This seminar is especially designed for parents of children with apraxia of speech.  It will focus on:

  • Definitions, causes, and identification
  • Speech therapy types and treatment approaches
  • Co-occurring conditions
  • Prognosis and how children may be expected to do in the future
  • Tips for proactive parent advocacy
  • The latest updates on apraxia research
  • Questions and answers with CASANA Education Director, Kathy Hennessy, and apraxia expert Dr. Ruth Stoeckel of the Mayo Clinic

Timed agenda:

5:30 – 6:00 PM – Check in and light snacks
6:00 – 8:30 PM – Seminar
8:30 – 9:00 PM – Questions and answers

Cost:  This seminar is FREE to PARENTS of children with apraxia of speech!  Thanks to the success of the 2014 Cincinnati Walk for Apraxia, we are coming to Cincinnati to provide this free seminar and say thank you to your community!

Registration:  Registration for this seminar is LIMITED to PARENTS of children with apraxia of speech. (Other relatives may attend with a parent).  All who want to attend MUST register.
