A CASANA Live Webinar:
Sibling Struggles: Support and Survival Strategies
Presented by Apraxia expert David Hammer, MA, CCC-SLP
(ASHA CEUs are available for this educational event)
At the 2013 CASANA National Conference in Denver, David Hammer had the unique opportunity to conduct a first-of-its-kind session for siblings of children with CAS. It was a fun, enlightening, and thought-provoking event. The insights, and honesty of the children who participated was astonishing, and the amazing support they had for their siblings was incredible. This webinar is designed to open our thinking to issues that siblings face when they have a brother or sister with CAS. It will include a discussion of common struggles they may encounter, ways to engage them as active participants in the therapy process, and potential solutions for therapists and parents for handling these challenges. The webinar is intended to spark discussion during the question and answer time about real life issues that participants have encountered or are currently involved in with siblings of children with CAS.
