2006 ASHA Convention Booth in Miami, Florida
We are grateful for the opportunity to distribute up to date information and resource on CAS to thousands of convention goers.
2006 National Parent Conference on Childhood Apraxia of Speech
Over 200 parents from across the country attended the third national parent conference. Expert speakers delivered lectures and talks on a variety of topics related to children with CAS.
2005 Apraxia-KIDSSM ASHA Convention Booth
CASANA and The Hendrix Foundation operated the Apraxia-KIDSSM booth at the ASHA Annual Convention in San Diego, CA. Thousands of SLP's dropped by to learn more about CAS.
2005 Regional Parent Conference
This year CASANA experimented with providing a regional conference for parents. Over 110 parents gathered at Villanova University near Philadelphia for an excellent learning and networking opportunity.
2004 Apraxia-KIDSSM ASHA Convention Booth
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was the site of the 2004 ASHA Annual Convention and once more Apraxia-KIDS was there to educate and inform professionals and students about childhood apraxia of speech. Please view our booth and photos!
2004 First National Apraxia Parent Conference
Hundreds of parents gathered together for this inaugural event of the first national conference specifically for parents of children with CAS. Cosponsored by CASANA and The Hendrix Foundation 17 speakers provided excellent keynotes and workshops on all topics related to apraxia.
2003 Apraxia-KIDSSM ASHA Convention Booth
Each year we plan and staff a booth for the exhibit hall at the annual convention of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. We greet and talk about apraxia with thousands of speech-language pathologists each year.
2002 Childhood Apraxia of Speech Research Symposium
The 2002 Symposium, cosponsored by The Hendrix Foundation and CASANA and funded by The Hendrix Foundation is the first scientific, scholarly symposium dedicated exclusvely to understanding the nature of apraxia of speech in children. Planned by several of the top apraxia researchers from our Professional Advisory Board, this symposium has led way to increased research efforts and more focused coordination between researchers and research groups.
