Apraxia-KIDS
Allen's 1st Cub Scout Meeting! He is SO PROUD!
The Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association needs our help! Join with us, please, and help create better futures for children with speech apraxia.
Allen is 7 years old. He was diagnosed with Verbal and Global Apraxia before the age of 2. He has been in speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy since his diagnosis.
He has a wonderful attitude and is a FUN kid to be around. He loves to make jokes and make others laugh!
He still has a long way to go to keep up with his peers, BUT he has also come a long way in the last several years! At the age of 3, Allen had less than 5 recognizable words. Today, he is about 90% intelligible by strangers!!!
CASANA has been a wonderful means of support and education for Allen's parents. CASANA supports several conferences throughout the country and maintain an excellent website for anyone who wants to learn about Apraxia. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
