The Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association needs our help! Join with us, please, and help create better futures for children with speech apraxia.

Thank you for visiting Vincent's Apraxia site. Vincent was diagnosed with Apraxia Of Speech, which is a neurological disorder, when he was about 2 1/2 years old. He goes to speech therapy 4 times a week, and because the disorder also affects his fine motor skills, he goes to Occupational Therapy 2 times a week. Vincent has been doing this since he is 20 months old. We all take speaking for granted, but Vincent has struggled to learn every word that he speaks. It does not come natural for him. He has worked very hard to overcome many obstacles, and he continues to strive for more! I have spent many nights on the CASANA website trying to learn as much as I could about the disorder. This has been the best resource available to our family. We really appreciate your visiting the site and appreciate your support. Just learning about Apraxia really means a lot to us.
