My name is Kelsey. I Love to collect, paint and decorate rocks. Our Kelsey was DX with Speech-Apraxia before her 2nd birthday, a neurological disorder that effect the brain ability to send the proper signals to move the muscles involved in speech. In our case, our daughter skull was fracture at birth, It was cause due to her head injury. Our apraxia childrens has difficulty planning and producing series of movements of Tongue, Lips, Jaw and Pilate that are necessary for intelligible speech. Kelsey is a very bright young girl with great ambitions, her communication is not clear. She has blossom and works hard evey single day. She reminds me that all things is possible. We promise we will do everything in our power to pave the way for her to succeed. We pray for every child with any kind of Special needs as well with Medical illness to prosper and succeed. Every child deserve the best. There are many emotions coping with our childrens with special needs and medical illness. Thank you for supporting Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association.
