Join with us, please, and help create better futures for children with apraxia of speech.
When I am not training for my Ironman, I can usually be found at my family's house in Oxnard spending time with my niece and nephew. I would have to say that my nephew is my #1 fan. He always helps me bring in my bike and picks up my Gu packs and tries to tell me that I eat them while I am training and then says "yuck". These words and phrases are big steps for him. Jackson has apraxia, which means he knows what he wants to say, but that he can't always speak. While I know that not everyone will be able to support me in person, I thought that they would be able to support my #1 fan along with helping all other children with this disorder. Every child deserves a voice and I hope that through my training and race I can help raise more awareness for this disorder. Help me race for a cause!!!
