Join me in my efforts to support Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA)!

Join with us, please, and help create better futures for children with apraxia of speech.
This is our son Sam who was born with a genetic abnormality that no one else is documented as having.

Just one little part of what makes him special is a speech disorder called Apraxia.

Despite the other difficulties he faces, Apraxia is probably the one that makes his day to day life the most challenging.

Sam is six years old and has been receiving speech therapy for most of his life. He currently uses limited speech and is relying less on signing, body language and picture exchange to get his thoughts out. His speech is nowhere near developmentally appropriate, but Sam is making progress that we are proud of.

He has had access to amazing assistive technology devices including the Tango and the SpringBoard Lite which can open him up to so many opportunities that the rest of us take for granted. Look them up! We are so fortunate that our school system recognizes the value of these devices in Sam's life. He has been blessed with speech therapists that love him and care very much about helping him be his very best.

Sam is a bubbly and outgoing child who loves everyone he meets. Give him a chance and you've got a friend for life. He wakes up with a smile and happy "Mow'in!" every day. We are so blessed. It's hard to have a sad day when Sam is around.

He has so much he wants to say and we want so badly to help him find his voice.

BIG NEWS! Over the winter break Sam learned to say his name! Ssss....am Eee-in! Yay Sam!

Please consider helping us by supporting Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA). Your contribution is so greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Christopher and Robin Eaton
(and big sister Maggie, too)
