Seminar Overview:

The Tampa Bay Apraxia 101 Parent Seminar is designed to provide an overview of Childhood Apraxia of Speech especially for parents. CASANA’s Executive Director and Founder Sharon Gretz is excited to present this information to the Tampa Bay area parents. Topics covered include:

  • Definitions, causes (etiology), and identification
  • Speech therapy approaches and concepts
  • Co-occurring conditions
  • Prognosis and how children may be expected to do in the future
  • Tips for proactive parent advocacy
  • The latest updates on apraxia research
  • Questions and Answers

Registration is available only for parents of children with apraxia of speech. Professionals have many opportunities for educational events, but parents do not. Only register for this seminar if you are the parent of a child with apraxia of speech.

Each person who plans to attend must complete the registration process. While the seminar is FREE OF CHARGE, there is limited seating, so all must register in order to attend.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all of the participants and donors in the 2015 Tampa Bay Walk for Apraxia, whose generosity has made this free seminar possible, and especially to Walk Coordinator Rachel Anderson and her helpers!
