WALK FOR APRAXIA

The Walk for Apraxia is the signature fundraising event for Apraxia Kids. It brings together those touched by apraxia, uniting families and professionals in a community of support. At the heart of the Walk for Apraxia is the celebration of our Apraxia Stars. Each child with apraxia receives a medal in recognition of the hard work that goes into finding their voices. Join us at your local event and discover a network of support!

OUTREACH

Patty Miller is the Connecticut Volunteer Outreach Coordinator. I am a parent with a child who has Apraxia and I am currently working on my doctoral dissertation to spread awareness with the assistance of the online resources on the Apraxia Kids’ website. I have attended two conferences, five walks, and two reward talks. Patty is interested in giving back to the apraxia community by spreading awareness, assisting in providing training to SLP’s, and assisting parents with advocating for services.

You can contact Patty Miller at pattym@apraxia-kids.org.

FACEBOOK SUPPORT GROUPS

Apraxia Kids is proud to offer online support groups to ensure that no family feels alone in their journey. It can be comforting and empowering to know that you are supported and that you can both give and receive help.
